Technical Data and Published Articles:
VAROX® crosslinking agent Peroxides Brochure - for the Rubber and Plastics Industries Using Organic Peroxides in Open Air Systems to Cure Latex Articles VAROX BP-75-WVAROX BP-75-W is a white, free-flowing powder, consisting of 75% Dibenzoyl peroxide, de-sensitized with water. This aromatic diacyl peroxide is used as an initiator (radical source) in the polymerization of monomers, e.g., styrene, vinyl acetate, (meth-) acrylates, and allyl compounds. VAROX BP-75-W is a non-vinyl specific for general purpose peroxide that is used for the vulcanization or crosslinking of most elastomers and polyolefins, such as EPDM, EPM and PE. VAROX DBPHVAROX DBPH is an excellent crosslinking agent that can be used to vulcanize most elastomers and polyolefins. VAROX DBPH EmulsionVAROX DBPH Emulsion is a white liquid consisting of an emulsion of 46% assay of 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-di(t-butylperoxy)hexane in water. This dialkyl peroxide can be used as an initiator (radial source) in the crosslinking of water-based polymers such natural rubber latex and Neoprene liquid dispersions. VAROX DBPH Emulsion can be used in either open air environments (additional additives are required) or in closed systems (RTV patent pending), without exhibiting the surface tackiness that is often associated with the use of peroxide in an open air cure. For most applications, 0.5 to 2.0 dry phr of VAROX DBPH Emulsion is recommended. VAROX DBPH Emulsion - A peroxide Accelerator for Water-based Polymers VAROX DBPH-50For the vulcanization or crosslinking of most elastomers and polyolefins such as EPDM, EPM, PE and NBR. VAROX DBPH-P20Used as crosslinking agent for polypropylene. VAROX DCPCrystalline powder organic peroxide crosslinking agent for NR, IR, SBR, BR, NBR, EPDM and CR. Crosslinking agent for PE, POE, EPR, EVA, VAE and Silicone. VAROX DCP-40CVAROX DCP-40C on calcium carbonate is preferred over the straight peroxide (VAROX DCP) for many compounds. Dosage should be approximately twice the amount for VAROX DCP. Non-sulfur curing agents for NR, IR, SBR, BR, NBR, EPDM and CR. Crosslinking agent for PE, EPM, Silicone, EVA and VAE. VAROX DCP-40KEVAROX DCP-40C on Kaolin clay is preferred over the straight peroxide (VAROX DCP) for many compounds. Dosage should be approximately twice the amount for VAROX DCP. Non-sulfur curing agents for NR, IR, SBR, BR, NBR, EPDM and CR. Crosslinking agent for PE, EPM, Silicone, EVA and VAE. VAROX TBPB VAROX TBPB-50Organic peroxide crosslinking agent (t-Butyl perbenzoate) for silicone and other elastomers. 98% assay light yellow liquid, effective in the temperature range 132 to 173 °C (265 to 345 °F). VAROX VC-RNon-sulfur curing agent for NR and SR. Organic peroxide crosslinking agent for PE, CPE, EPDM, EPM, Silicone, EVA and VAE. Provides excellent compression set resistance. VAROX 130-XL45 - 48% VAROX 130 on an inert carrier. VAROX 230-XL PDRVAROX 230-XL PDR is an organic peroxide crosslinking agent BR, CPE, CR, EPDM & EPM, EVA, HNBR, NBR and SBR. While providing low crosslinking efficiency, it offers fast cure rates. The proper selection of a crosslinking coagent improves the crosslinking efficiency and retains the desired cure rate. VAROX 231-XLVAROX 231 at 40% assay on an inert carrier. VAROX 802-40KE40% assay VAROX VC-R on a Kaolin clay carrier. |
