   Laboratory Technician

The R. T. Vanderbilt Company, Inc., is accepting applications for a Laboratory Technician in the Petroleum Department within the Research and Development Division in Norwalk, CT.

Job Summary:
Assist chemists in the laboratory with testing of lubricants and disposing of waste grease and oil.

Duties/Responsibilities include:

	• Perform laboratory work assigned by chemists (running standard Petroleum Test Methods).
	• Clean glassware and other test equipment.
	• Dispose of waste grease and oil in accordance with R.T. Vanderbilt's procedures.
	• Calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments in accordance to the PAL work instructions.
	• Follow all ISO quality procedures.

Job Requirements:

	• High School graduate with basic math skills and general knowledge of Chemistry.
	• Two years of College or Technical School with a scientific background is preferred.
	• Must be able to lift twenty pounds.
