Press Release: Platinum Research Organization (PRO)Signs First Distribution Agreement TechroBond™ 280 PowerPoint Presentation TechroBond™ 280L MOLYVAN® AUsed in long life chassis greases for ball joints, steering linkages and other lubricating greases requiring good antioxidant and antiwear at high temperatures for long periods of time. MOLYVAN A is an organic molybdenum E.P. and antiwear additive for petroleum and synthetic lubricants. It has good high temperature stability. In lubricating greases it is superior to inorganic molybdenum additives in both antiwear and antioxidant properties. MOLYVAN A is slightly basic and does not promote rusting. It has a low specific gravity which makes it easy to disperse with simple equipment. It is used in non-petroleum base valve lubricants. MOLYVAN LMOLYVAN L is an oil-soluble organic molybdenum additive containing sulfur and phosphorus. It functions as friction reducer, antioxidant, antiwear, and E.P. agent. It is used in engine oils, metalworking compositions and in a variety of industrial and auto-motive lubricating oils, greases and specialties. MOLYVAN L is an outstanding antiwear agent. It is quite useful in automotive and industrial gear oils and greases which operate under heavy load conditions. Note: Since oil formulations vary it is recommended that upon the incorporation of any additive the finished product be tested to confirm original test results. In some formulations, the presence of MOLYVAN L may contribute to copper corrosion which would be detrimental to some diesel engines. Therefore, its use in such lubricants is not recommended. MOLYVAN 807 (US Only) MOLYVAN 807MOLYVAN 807 offers a unique molybdenum-sulfur combination in an oil-soluble form which is easy to blend into lubricants. MOLYVAN 807 can be used to maintain the antifriction properties of an engine oil while reducing the phosphorus content. To obtain significant increases in extreme pressure properties and impart improved antiwear performance, MOLYVAN 807 can be used in combination with VANLUBE® 7723, a non-metallic dithiocarbamate which functions as antioxidant and extreme pressure agent. Note: Since oil formulations vary it is recommended that upon the incorporation of any additive the finished product be tested to confirm original test results. In some formulations, the presence of MOLYVAN 807 may contribute to copper corrosion which would be detrimental to some diesel engines. Therefore, its use in such lubricants is not recommended. MOLYVAN 822 (US Only) MOLYVAN 822MOLYVAN 822 may be used to maintain or improve the antifric-tion properties of an engine oil while reducing the phosphorus content. MOLYVAN 822 is less corrosive to copper than most other organic molybdenum compounds. MOLYVAN 822 is not recommended for use in diesel engine lubricants. Note: Since oil formulations vary it is recommended that upon the incorporation of any additive the finished product be tested to confirm original test results. In some formulations, the presence of MOLYVAN 822 may contribute to copper corrosion which would be detrimental to some diesel engines. Therefore, its use in such lubricants is not recommended. TechroBond™ 280LTechroBond 280L is a proprietary composition of organo-thiophosphate and solid organo-fluoride components specifically formulated for use in lithium-based greases. At treat levels of 5.0-10 mass percent, the product provides exceptional wear and extreme pressure protection to general-purpose greases. It is especially recommended for applications that require solid lubricant additives. TechroBond 280L is not soluble in mineral and synthetic base stocks and is not recommended for the extended high temperature applications typically encountered in wheel bearings, and in steel mill machinery. TechroBond™ 280 PowerPoint Presentation TechroBond™ 280L VANLUBE EZVANLUBE EZ is a multifunctional additive that imparts excellent antiwear, extreme pressure, corrosion resistance, and antioxidant properties to industrial lubricants and greases. It is a concentrated version of VANLUBE AZ. The product is a clear, light-colored, and free-flowing liquid. VANLUBE EZ Lubricant Additive VANLUBE® SBVANLUBE SB is a sulfur base for use in the formulation of industrial gear oils, automotive and industrial greases of various types, and other formulations where non-corrosive sulfur is desired. VANLUBE SB is an economical source of sulfur in a form that provides good load carrying and antiwear properties combined with low copper corrosion. VANLUBE 289VANLUBE 289 is a boron-containing antiwear additive that does not contain phosphorus, sulfur, or metallic elements. It is an effective antiwear additive, by itself or in combination with other antiwear/EP additives. Falex® Pin and Vee Block Test data show that VANLUBE 289 affords antiwear protection not provided by other additives such as zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate, ashless dialkyl dithiophosphate, zinc diakyl dithiocarbamate, molybdenum diakyl dithiocarbamate, ashless dialkyl dithiocarbamate, and alkyl thiadiazole. The Falex Pin and Vee Block Test data also show that VANLUBE 289 forms synergistic combinations with these additives. Thus, VANLUBE 289 is an ideal antiwear additive for the formulation of low sulfur, ash, and phosphorus (SAP) engine oils, or other lubricant applications in which these elements are restricted. VANLUBE 289 Lubricant Additive BORATE ESTER ANTIWEAR TECHNOLOGY VANLUBE 71A multifunctional additive having the properties of a good EP agent and those of a good oxida-tion and corrosion inhibitor. Used in industrial lubricating oils and greases as both an EP agent and oxidation inhibitor. Often used in combination with sulfurized compounds or with lead naphthenate, lead oleate, etc. An outstanding general purpose additive for industrial gear oils and lubricating greases. VANLUBE 73 ![]() One of the most versatile of the dithiocarbamate additives. VANLUBE 73 has excellent anti-wear, extreme pressure and antioxidant properties. It is used as an antiwear additive, bearing corrosion inhibitor in motor oils, gas engine oils, compressor oils, etc. It is used in lubricating greases of all types as an antioxidant, antiwear and extreme pressure additive. VANLUBE 73 Super PlusVANLUBE 73 Super Plus is a proprietary mixture of dialkyldithiocarbamates. Based on equivalent antimony content the load-carrying capacity of VANLUBE 73 Super Plus is superior to that of antimony dialkyldithiocarbamate (SDDC), and comparable to that of combinations of SDDC and sulfurized olefin. As an antioxidant, VANLUBE 73 Super Plus outperforms both SDDC and SDDC/sulfurized olefin and, unlike sulfurized olefin, it does not lower the dropping point of lithium complex grease. VANLUBE 73 Super Plus does not have a pungent odor of sulfurized olefin. VANLUBE® 73 Super Plus Lubricant Additive VANLUBE 622Antiwear and EP additive for steel mill and other industrial gear oils. Antiwear and extreme pressure additive for petroleum oils and greases. VANLUBE 622 has outstanding extreme pres-sure and antiwear properties in a variety of base lubricants. It will give unusually high Timken, Falex, and 4-Ball EP values at economical concentrations of 1 to 3%. It shows promise as an EP and antiwear additive in automotive gear oils. Radioactive Ring Wear Tests in crankcase oils show VANLUBE 622 to be superior to zinc dithiophosphates at equivalent treating costs. Friction reducer in engine oils and gear oils. VANLUBE 672An extreme pressure and antiwear additive for industrial lubricants, including lubricating oils, greases and synthetic fluids. Used as an extreme pressure and antiwear additive in various metalworking lubricants such as drawing, stamping and forming compounds. Improved EP performance of conventional extreme pressure materials such as sulfurized olefins, fatty oils, chlorinated paraffins, metal dithiocarbamates and phosphorodithioates. Effective in low concentrations as an antiwear additive in synthetic lubricants. VANLUBE 692Used in nonmetallic industrial gear oils to give high load carrying properties. Extreme pressure and antiwear additive for lubricants based on petroleum oils and synthetics. VANLUBE 692 enhances the extreme pressure properties of sulfurized olefins, chlorinated paraffins, dithiocarba-mates and phosphorodithioates. VANLUBE 719VANLUBE 719 was developed primarily for steel mill and similar industrial gear oils. It gives good extreme pressure and antiwear properties, good high temperature stability, and good demulsibility. VANLUBE 719 at a concentration range of 2 to 3% will meet the requirements of most steel mill gear oil specifications. It is applicable to 2-cycle engine oils. VANLUBE 727Laboratory bench tests indicate the versatility of VANLUBE 727 as an additive for various types of automotive and industrial lubricating oils. VANLUBE 727 functions as an antiwear agent and antioxidant. The fact that it is nonmetallic makes it of interest for ashless or low-ash applications. Some suggested areas of application are: automotive engine oils, railroad diesel oils, compressor oils, gas engine oils, antiwear hydraulic and turbine oils, and various types of industrial oils. Bench tests indicate that the performance of VANLUBE 727 is competitive with that of commonly used zinc dithiophosphates. One percent in SAE 90 gear oil gives a 12-stage pass in the FZG test. VANLUBE 7611M ![]() VANLUBE 7611M is an organic liquid additive containing sulfur and phosphorus. 4-Ball Wear tests show VANLUBE 7611M, at 20 kg load, is equivalent to typical zinc dialkyldithiophosphates. At 40 kg load, it is superior to these products. VANLUBE 7611M will improve the antiwear properties of sulfurized extreme pressure additives. It is a useful component for EP/antiwear lubricant formulations and additive packages. VANLUBE 7611M does not contain metallic elements. Thus, it is applicable to ashless and low ash formulations. VANLUBE 804SVANLUBE 804S is a multi-functional additive designed for use in USS 224 type gear oils and other industrial greases. VANLUBE 829 ![]() Extensive laboratory evaluation has revealed that VANLUBE 829 possesses excellent extreme pressure properties when dispersed in various greases. It also functions as an antiwear agent and an antioxidant. VANLUBE 829 should be utilized in greases used in areas where extreme pressures prevail, such as steel mills and heavy equipment lubrication. VANLUBE 869VANLUBE 869 is an effective EP/antioxidant suitable for lubricating oils and greases. VANLUBE 869 is compatible with other VANLUBE RI's/AO's and metal deactivators. VANLUBE 8610VANLUBE 8610 is an EP/antioxidant useful for various lubricating oils and greases. Impressive Timken loads of 90 and 100 lbs. may be seen with 2% treatment levels. VANLUBE 8610 is compatible with other VANLUBE RI's/AO's and metal deactivators. VANLUBE 871VANLUBE 871 is a liquid ashless antioxidant/antiwear agent. Possible uses include both gasoline and diesel engine oil formulations to improve existing additive packages. VANLUBE 972MVANLUBE 972M, a thiadiazole derivative in triethylene glycol monobutyl ether/polyethylene glycol blend, is an ashless extreme pressure additive recommended for use in grease and some glycol-based lubricants. VANLUBE 9123 ![]() Laboratory evaluations show VANLUBE 9123 to be an excellent antiwear additive and rust inhibitor in a wide range of industrial oils and lubricating greases. VANLUBE 9123 can be used at levels up to 0.5% mass to formulate food-grade products complying with 21 CFR section 178.3570, "Lubricants with Incidental Food Contact." VANLUBE 9413This product is a bismuth containing liquid extreme pressure additive. Laboratory tests show that 3.5% mass treatment in Lithium Complex greases yields an 80 lb. Timken OK Load.
