The Vanderbilt Plastics Department prides itself on our ability to work closely with our customers to help solve compounding and stabilization problems. Additionally, our emphasis on new product development enables us to be responsive to the ever-changing needs of today’s Plastics Industry.

We have a wide range of products for the Plastics Industry including polymer stabilizers, polymer reinforcing agents, and polymer modifiers. These materials are used extensively in the manufacture of quality polyamide, polyethylene, polypropylene, and polyurethane products:

Polymer Stabilizers - Vanderbilt offers an extensive line of stabilizers including Phenolic, Phosphite, and Amine Antioxidants; Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers; UV Absorbers; Metal Deactivators and Scorch Inhibitors. Vanderbilt is the U.S. and Canadian distributor for Songwon International Americas Inc.

Polymer Reinforcing Agents - In addition to our stabilizers, the Plastics Department offers a full line of mineral reinforcing agents including kaolin, pyrophyllite, talc, and wollastonite to meet the needs of the Plastics Industry. Surface-treated wollastonite products are available under the VANCOTE^® trade name.

Polymer Modifiers - Vanderbilt sells a number of polymer modifiers that can be used to improve polymer performance including Exact^® plastomers.
