"F" Family-70% Fluorine Terpolymers

          Viton^® F-605C Sheet
Viton^® F-605C is a new generation incorporated cure "F-family" terpolymer designed for compression and transfer molding of seals, gaskets, and O-rings that require excellent fluids resistance to today's automotive fuels. In addition to the heat and chemical resistance characteristics typical of Viton^® fluoroelastomers, Viton^® F-605C offers significant improvements in processing, rheology, and physical properties.

Compared to Viton^® F-601C, Viton^® F-605C features: Improved processing with increased mold flow, improved mold release and less mold fouling. It has improved extrusion performance, excellent compression set resistance, similar fluids and permeation resistance to automotive fuels (including oxygenated and "sour" fuels).

Applications: Viton^® F-605C is recommended for sealing applications such as fuel systems that require improved fluids and permeation resistance to fuels (especially oxygenated and "sour" fuels). Also for compression/transfer molding of O-rings, gaskets, and diaphragms requiring excellent chemical resistance.

Extreme Types

           Viton^® Extreme^™ ETP-600S Sheet
A new Viton^® "Extreme" fluoroelastomer, formerly known as VTR-8710, utilizes DuPont Dow’s new Advanced Polymer Architecture technology which significantly improves processing and curing characteristics. Advanced Polymer Architecture technology in Viton^® Extreme^™ ETP-600S Sheet upgraded the peroxide cure site along with optimizing the molecular architecture to deliver a polymer which:

• Cures faster and to a higher state of cure when compared to Viton^® ETP-900 and ETP-500
• Shows improved mold release/mold fouling properties compared to Viton^® ETP-900 and ETP-500
• Shows improved mold flow, less shear sensitivity for a 65 Mooney FKM
• Shows improved compression set resistance when compared to Viton^® ETP-900 and ETP-500
• Shows the same broad fluid resistance of all Viton^® ETP "Extreme" polymers
