The Petroleum Laboratory is designed to assist our customers in custom formulating finished lubricants using additives manufactured and sold by R.T. Vanderbilt Holding Company, Inc. These include a complete line of antioxidants, antiwear and extreme pressure additives, friction reducers, metal deactivators, corrosion inhibitors, biocides and chemical intermediates.

Our goal is lubricant performance and to that end we strive to optimize the additive package, whether they are our additives alone or in combination with other materials. Our laboratory is equipped to formulate lubricating oils and greases and to perform an extensive battery of tests to confirm their stability and performance. In cases where we can not meet your stringent requirements with commercial additives, we can enter into a confidential Cooperative Research Project so that synthesis chemists in our Organic Research Laboratory can develop a product for you.
