VANCIDE MZ-98 is a new replacement for VANCIDE MZ-96. While slightly higher in active ingredient content (98% vs. 96%), customers should experience similar performance to VANCIDE MZ-96. Customers replacing MZ-96 with MZ-98 should perform those necessary evaluations to insure they are obtaining equal performance.

APPLICATIONS

Adhesives Antimicrobials:

VANCIDE MZ-98 is an antimicrobial used to prevent mold growth on aqueous adhesive films. It can also be used as a fungicide in Neoprene compounds.

VANCIDE MZ-98 is zinc dimethyldithiocarbamate, a chemical known to act as an accelerator in various rubber polymers, such as neoprene and natural rubber. IMPORTANT: Please be certain evaluations have been performed in polymer systems prior to scale up to assure compatibility and fungi-resistance.

Industrial Biocides:

VANCIDE MZ-98 - Registered for preservation of water-based paint films, adhesives, texture coatings, caulks, spackles, etc.

Paint and Coatings:

VANCIDE MZ-98 is highly effective in imparting mold resistance properties for interior or exterior coatings; Latex-based, aqueous systems; traffic and marking Paints.

VANCIDE MZ-98 is registered for preservation of water-based paint films, adhesives, texture coatings, caulks, spackles, etc. which might be used for:

Indoors in bathrooms, kitchens and basement areas.
Outdoors for paint, caulks, sealants and applications cured by heat.
Other building products based on aqueous latex, i.e., adhesives.
Dried adhesives and coatings which are reduced with water on-site.
